THE PACKAGES
Most artists and artisans have extraordinary work
deserving better images than they have time to make.
That gap is costing them.
I'm a trained eye, discovering your world with curiosity. One client called me "a little mouse on her shoulder". You forget I'm there, and that's when the real work begins.
Here's what changes when we work together:
YOU GET YOUR TIME BACK. No more Sunday nights trying to figure out what to post.
YOUR IMAGES FINALLY MATCH YOUR PRACTICE. No more strong work let down by weak images.
YOUR ONLINE PRESENCE CATCHES UP TO WHO YOU ARE NOW, not who you were ten years ago.
YOUR LIFE’S WORK GETS A PROPER RECORD. Most artists reach the end of their career with nothing to show for it. Yours won't.
THE RIGHT EYES START LOOKING. Collectors, better galleries, grant/residency panels: they decide before they ever speak to you.
YOU STEP INTO YOUR OWN STORY. Collectors don't just buy the work, they buy the person who made it.
The result: documentation that finally matches the quality of your practice: cohesive, cinematic, and deeply yours. Images you're proud to put on your website, your grant applications, your Instagram. A visual presence that finally reflects who you already are.
This is legacy work that also solves your content problem.

A PORTRAIT IN MOTION
What’s Included
A commissioned portrait, much like hiring a painter. I bring my lens, my eye, and my sensibility to document who you are and what your world looks like. The result is a short film of one to five minutes that is unmistakably yours, and unmistakably mine.
We discuss the format together - voice-over or purely musical - and I take it from there.
If you have a specific creative direction in mind, see my package Outside the Square.

GOOD TO KNOW
A few questions I’m often asked
Who do you work with?
Painters, ceramicists, sculptors, textile artists, woodworkers, jewellers, floral artists, cheesemakers, natural dye artists, interior designers, shoemakers, metal workers, and creative practitioners of every kind. Also magazines and brands celebrating arts and craftsmanship. If your project is different, get in touch and we'll see if it's a good fit.
What do you actually do?
I photograph and film artists and artisans in their studios, workshops or plein-air, capturing process, hands, materials and the world behind the practice. The result is a generous visual archive, something you'll draw from for years.
What is a cinematic portrait film?
Think of it as commissioning a portrait, the way painters are sometimes commissioned. I arrive with my camera and my unique eye, spend a day in your world, and return with a very personal creation that is beautifully you. One to five minutes. Voice or music. Yours to keep and show for the rest of your career.
Is there a voice-over in your films?
Your choice. Some films are voice-led, where you speak about your practice in your own words (I have fantastic new tools to help you do that in an effortless, poetic way). Others are purely musical, letting the images carry the story. Both are beautiful. The right format depends on you and your work.
Can you shoot photos and video on the same day?
Yes, and it's my superpower. Photos and film shot together produce a homogenous look and style that's very hard to achieve any other way. The result is a cohesive visual world, not two separate jobs stitched together.
Do you do portraits?
Yes, studio, workshop and plein air portraits. I provide a series of portraits suitable for websites, gallery collaborations, grant and residency submissions, exhibition catalogues, and self-promotional materials.
Do you create reels for social media?
Yes. Six short vertical films, each a glimpse into your practice, each ready to post. Available on their own or paired with any other package. The difference between these and phone footage is the difference between a snapshot and a studio portrait.
Do you film tutorials and masterclass videos?
Yes. Seven filmed tutorials in a single day - your hands, your process, your expertise on screen. I've filmed 80+ of them across floristry, gardening, painting and photography. The goal is always the same: make what you know look effortless and accessible for your viewers.
Do you do product or artwork photography?
I can photograph artworks and objects, but it's not my core activity. I'm a documentary photographer, I tell the story of your practice rather than isolate objects on a white background. If you need colour-accurate catalogue photography, I'm happy to discuss whether it fits your project.
Can you help with grant and residency applications?
Yes. Grant panels make decisions based on what they see, not what they're told. I create images that give your application the visual weight it deserves. It's one of the things I do particularly well.
Do I need to book a full package, or can I start small?
The minimum booking is The Full Photo Suite or The Reel Collection. Every package is designed to deliver something genuinely useful, not a handful of images that leaves you wanting more.
How many images do I get?
The Full Photo Suite delivers over 100 images - enough for your website, Instagram, grant and residency applications and exhibition catalogues without going back to square one every year. Other packages vary. Details are in each package description above.
Is travel included?
Sydney Metro travel is included in all packages. Beyond Sydney, travel is priced very reasonably and agreed upfront, no surprises. I've worked across NSW, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, Western Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Distance is not an obstacle.
Can multiple artists share a shoot day?
Yes. Artists and artisans working in the same studio can share the cost of a shoot. Get in touch to discuss the structure before booking.
How long does delivery take?
As a guide, photos within three weeks and films within three months once you've provided your assets - fonts, logo, brand kit, music choice, and fully reviewed credits. That said, timelines are always discussed at booking and we find a rhythm that works for both of us. A VIP faster delivery option is also available for those who need it sooner - get in touch to discuss your timeline.
Do you offer faster delivery?
A VIP faster delivery option is available. Get in touch if you have an urgent deadline and we'll see what's possible.
Where and how am I allowed to use the images and films created by Flore?
Your licence covers all personal and professional first-party use: your website, social media, grant and residency applications, exhibition catalogues, editorial features, and self-promotional print materials. You are licensing the right to use the images - copyright remains with Flore Vallery-Radot at all times, as protected under Australian copyright law. A credit to Flore Vallery-Radot is a legal requirement in all contexts, not optional.
NEW! Full-paying clients receive something most photographers simply do not offer: the right to extend usage of their images to the galleries and cultural institutions representing their work, for the purpose of promoting their practice and exhibitions (Conditions apply). This means your gallery can use your images in their communications, their social media, and their exhibition materials without any additional licence fee to you. It is a gift designed to make your images work as hard as possible for your career, without friction and without extra cost. A credit to Flore Vallery-Radot remains a legal requirement in all contexts.
For full details, read the Artist and Artisan First Party Licensing Rate Card here.
Can a third party use the images or films from my session?
A third party is any person or organisation that did not commission and pay for the shoot. This includes magazines, newspapers, television programs, book publishers, screen producers, advertising agencies, commercial brands, and any other business or individual. None of these may reproduce, publish, or use your images without my written authorisation and a separate usage licence.
The simplest thing to do: direct any third party enquiry to me directly and I will handle it from there. Get in touch at flore@florevalleryradot.com.
For the full Third Party rates, see the Third Party Licensing Rate Card here.
What cameras do you use?
A Canon C70 cinema camera for film, and Leica SL2 and Leica Typ 601 for photography. A large array of lenses, modern and vintage, plus a collection of creative filters that give my work its distinctive look.
Do you work in French?
Oui. I'm a native French speaker and work comfortably in both languages. For French-speaking artists in Australia or Europe, we can conduct the entire project in French if you prefer.
How does booking work?
Get in touch via the contact form. We'll arrange a call or Google Meet to define the scope properly. From there a 50% deposit, and a shoot prep guide to make the day as good and efficient as it can be.
